SEO Ultimate Version 7.6.5.5 Released!

Hey Jeffrey here from SEO Design Solutions and just wanted to let you guys know in the spirit of transparency that we just found a bug in the modules’ enable/disable functionality of SEO Ultimate, but we’ve just added a fix and uploaded a new version of SEO Ultimate to the WordPress repository.

The new version is SEO Ultimate Version 7.6.5.5.

So, here’s the extent of the bug we found…

By default, we typically disable the slug optimizer module, the nofollow manager and the meta keywords editor (allowing you to determine if you want to use and enable them).

However since the update to SEO Ultimate Version 7.6.5.2 (April 28, 2015), any new pages or posts created from the time until now have had the disabled modules enabled (even though they said there were disabled in the module manager).

The only module of consequence was the slug optimizer (which removes the stopwords from URLs when you publish your content). Now, despite this being a good thing, any pages or posts created from that update have had stop words in the URL slugs removed.

Once again, our apology for this oversight, but, the good news is, all of your legacy content created before the update is not affected and on this new update, the slug optimizer will be disabled as usual (unless you want to override and use this module).

Please let us know if you experience any other issues and in the meantime, all the best.

Jeffrey
